What is Shine Bright Learning Labs?

Shine Bright Learning Labs offers community-based arts programming including music, dance, visual arts, ensembles, audition prep, and play-based learning for children and families. We also provide professional development for teaching artists.

Where are classes held?

Our programs are offered in Uptown Manhattan in community spaces and schools. Locations will be shared upon registration.

Who can participate?

Programs are open to children and families of all backgrounds. Age guidelines and prerequisites (if any) will be noted in each program description.

What are my responsibilities as a parent/guardian while my child is in class?


For drop-off classes, children must be signed in and out by an authorized adult. Families are responsible for ensuring their child is safely dropped off and picked up on time. Shine Bright Learning Labs does not offer extended supervision outside of class time.

For playdates and early childhood classes, a parent or caregiver must stay and participate alongside their child.

What safety policies are in place?


All instructors and staff are trained in child safety and mandated reporting. We follow all venue guidelines and ensure emergency contacts are on file for each student.

Will classes be recorded or photographed?


Yes. We regularly take photos and videos of classes for documentation, learning portfolios, and promotional purposes (e.g. social media, newsletters, or grant reporting).

How is my child’s privacy protected?


Families will sign a media release form upon registration.

How much do classes cost?


We offer sliding scale tuition to ensure access for all families. Pricing will be listed in each program's registration page.

Are scholarships available?


Yes. We provide need-based scholarships. When you apply, there will be an option to request financial assistance.

What is your teaching approach?


Our programs are student-centered, culturally responsive, and joyfully rigorous. We honor children’s creativity, co-create learning experiences with families, and support teaching artists with meaningful training.

How do you choose what to teach?


We design programs in collaboration with families and community partners to ensure they reflect local interests, culture, and needs.

How do I register?


Registration is completed online through our website. Each class has its own registration form and payment link.
